LG just launched X5 (2018), a mid-range phone with an underpowered chipset, in South Korea. The X5 has a MediaTek chip joined by entry-grade hardware and a few things that stand out are LG Pay support and the massive 4500mAh battery housed within.

LG X5 (2018) Features

LG X5 (2018) essentially has a polycarbonate body with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and speaker grill. On the front, you will find a 5.5-inch screen with 720p HD resolution. The use of 16:9 aspect ratio panel, and the consequent top and bottom bezels, strike as an oddity in the 18:9 world that we live in these days. The handset measures 154.7 x 78.1 x 8.9mm. Once you factor in the 4500mAh battery, the 171 grams of heft seems fairly reasonable.

The 1.5GHz MediaTek MT6750 mobile platform driving the phone is assisted by 2GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The software running on the phone is Android 8.0 Oreo-based with integrated LG Pay support. For photography, there is a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front selfie camera.

The LG X5 (2018) will be available only in Morrocon Blue color as of now.

LG X5 (2018) Price and Availability

In South Korea, the LG X5 (2018) costs KRW 3,63,000 that roughly converts to around $330 or Rs 22,365. In South Korea, the handset will be available for all major carriers but there is no word on the Global availability as of now.
