Smartphones have come a really long way and can indeed make life easier for all classes of users, but still, anyone who needs to make a zillion phone calls and isn’t within arm’s reach of a charging point through his work day prefers to keep a feature phone.
While smartphones have improved in every aspect, the battery backup continues to be a limiting factor.
To further cash in on this feature phone strength, Itel mobiles, which claims to have sold over 2.5 million mobile devices in the country, presents the it5311 priced at Rs. 1,610. The handset includes a 1900mAh battery (that’s pretty massive for a feature phone) and also support fast charging.
The 1A inbox charger can provide with 2 hours of talk time with 10 minutes of charging and can fully charge that battery in less than 3 hours. Now, that doesn’t sound very fast compared to Smartphone standards, but Itel states that it’s 2X faster than a conventional feature phone charger, which is plausible.

Other highlighted features include multi-language support (Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, and English), smart auto call recorder, dual SIM card support, Wireless FM radio, flashlight, and notification LED.

Post the second phase rollout, iTel Phones are selling in a total of 24 states. The company has already amassed 2% market share in feature phone space and ranks 6th in this segment.
