Huawei Nova 5 Pro, Nova 5 and Nova 5i launched: Price, Specs and Details

After lots of speculations and rumors, the Nova 5 series has officially debuted in China. There are 3 models- Nova 5 Pro, Nova 5 and Nova 5i. Besides the phones, a brand new Kirin 810 SoC sees the daylight which would power the Nova 5. It is a 7nm based Octa-core chipset, first of its kind in the mid-range series.

In the display front, Nova 5 and 5 Pro sports a dewdrop notch and in-display fingerprint scanner, while the Nova 5i has a punch-hole notch and rear-mounted fingerprint reader.

As for colors, Nova 5 Pro comes in Dilemma Forest, Midsummer Purple, Coral Orange, and Bright Black variants. The standard variant would be available in the aforementioned colors except for Coral Orange. The Nova 5i flaunts in Crush Blue, Crush Red, and Midnight Black colors.

The Huawei Nova 5 series is equipped with quad cameras which are aided by AI enhancements. The Nova 5 Pro and standard variant ships with a 48MP primary camera at the back, and a 32MP selfie snapper. The Nova 5i has a smaller 24MP sensor at both front and back.

Huawei Kirin 810

Under the hood, the Nova 5 Pro runs on Kirin 980 SoC, Nova 5 on Kirin 810 SoC and finally the Nova 5i on a Kirin 710 chipset. They are fueled by a 4000mAh battery. While the bigger two comes with a 40W Super fast charger, Nova 5i has a smaller 18W fast charger. All the three brings an upgraded EMUI 9.1 based on Android Pie.

The pricing for Nova 5 Pro begins at CNY2,999 ( around Rs. 30,331.63) for the 8GB RAM+128 GB storage variant, while the 8GB RAM+256 GB storage costs CNY3,399 (around Rs. 34377.19). Huawei also announced a Nova 5 Pro Limited Edition that costs CNY3,799 (Rs. 38422.76). A special purple FreeLace earphone is bundled in its retail box.

Nova 5 is available in a single 8GB RAM+128 GB storage and it carries a price tag of CNY2,799 (around Rs. 28308.84).

Nova 5i starts at CNY1,999 (around Rs. Rs 20,241) for 6GB RAM+ 128GB variant or CNY2,199 (around Rs. Rs 22,262) for 8GB RAM+ 128GB model.

As for the availability, the Huawei Nova 5 Pro and Nova 5i go for pre-order starting from today, with the actual sale starting from June 28th. Finally, the Huawei Nova 5 would hit the stores starting July 20th.
