Google has finally built its own answer to Apple’s AirTag. The Pixel Tag was unveiled alongside the Pixel 11 series, and unlike what initial rumors suggested, it is actually available in India alongside the rest of the hardware.

Pixel Tag: Price & Availability
Per the official Google Store page, the Pixel Tag costs ₹3,799 for one unit. A pack of four costs ₹12,900. If you find that price familiar, that is because the Apple AirTag (Gen 2) also costs the same in India: ₹3,790 for one and ₹12,900 for a pack of four. While buyers can pre-order it right now, it will only be available in November 2026.

Pixel Tag: Key Features & Specifications
The Pixel Tag connects through Google’s Find Hub network, which the company says spans over a billion Android devices worldwide, and pairs instantly with compatible phones using Fast Pair. It supports both Ultra-Wideband and Bluetooth Channel Sounding, giving it visual, directional guidance to a lost item rather than a rough last-seen location.
Beyond the core tracking tech, Google has thought through practical hardware touches. Constructed with a stainless steel frame and polycarbonate, the tag measures just 5.4 mm thin and weighs 11.8 grams, making it slim enough to slip into a wallet or clip onto keys without adding bulk.

Deeper ecosystem integration allows you to check locations on a Pixel Watch or trigger alerts via Gemini on Pixel Buds, rounded out by proactive Left-Behind alerts and 100% plastic-free packaging.
It also carries an IP67 rating with a replaceable battery rated for more than a year. Up to ten people can share access to a single tag. In my opinion, the hardware sounds genuinely competitive with the AirTag on paper.
