The foldable smartphones have been a big ingredient of smartphone rumor mills for the past couple of years. And we now have ample confirmation that 2019 will be the year when we finally get to see foldable phones. Apart from Samsung Galaxy F and the Royole FlexPai, Xiaomi is also tipped to launch its own dual-sided foldable smartphone.
Can't speak to the authenticity of this video or device, but it's allegedly made by Xiaomi, I'm told. Hot new phone, or gadget porn deepfake? pic.twitter.com/qwFogWiE2F

As you can see in the video, the mysterious device has a large tablet-like display and can fold into a more manageable phone. As it’s folded, the icons and the software interface adapts to the new form factor.
However, just like Samsung’s demonstration last month, this video also shows the device in a dark environment. Thus, we can’t make out any Xiaomi branding. However, the software UI looks like Xiaomi’s MIUI and hence this is presumed to be a Xiaomi device. Evan also mentions that he can’t assure the authenticity of the video.
