Xioami Redmi 5 Plus Features On WiFi Certification Site Ahead of Global Launch

Xiaomi’s affordable smartphone Redmi 5 Plus has been in news for far too long. Ever since the phone was launched, last year in China, people have been raging about the global variant of the device.

It looks like Xiaomi is finally acting on the requests, and will to bring its Redmi 5 Plus globally as early as this month. The launch is evident from the phone’s recent visit to the WiFi Alliance (WFA) where it received its mandatory WiFi certification.

As per the certification, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus will support dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n (2.4GHz, 5GHz) and LTE capabilities. Further, it also revealed that the handset comes running on Android Nougat-based OS out of the box.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Features

Talking about the specifications, the Redmi 5 Plus features a5.9-inch infinity display with full HD+ (2160X1080 p). The phone is powered by 2GHz Octa-Core Snapdragon 625 processor with Adreno 506 GPU.

The Redmi 5 Plus comes in two RAM and ROM variants: one with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and the other with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The handset draws juice from the 4000mAh battery.

For photography, the Redmi 5 Plus flaunts a combination of 12-megapixel rear camera and  5-megapixel selfie camera.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus Price and Availability

The Redmi 5 Plus India price is expected to be around Rs, 9,999 for its base variant 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM and Rs. 12,999 for its top variant 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.
