Red is the new black in smartphones. After Samsung, iPhone and OnePlus, Xiaomi has announced its Google-powered smartphone, Mi A1 in Red color option. The special edition Mi A1 comes in a stunning red back with black bezels, and this takes the total color options of the phone to four – Black, Gold, Rose Gold, and Red.
The new Red color will retail in India from December 20, 2017, onwards at all Mi Home stores, Mi site, and Flipkart. However, it will be available in limited quantities, Xiaomi said in its press statement.

Xiaomi Mi A1 Features
In the new special edition, only the exterior changes, rest remain identical to the normal Mi A1. In other words, it still has the 5.1-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080) display layered with metal unibody design and 2.5D curved glass, up front.
Under the hood, the phone rocks on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 chipset and 4-gigs of RAM and 64 GB of internal storage. If the storage is not enough for your needs, you can further aid it with up to 128GB microSD card.

For photography, the dual-rear camera of the smartphone boasts a duo of 12MP sensors with one being a wide angle lens and telephoto lens for bokeh effect. The telephoto lens enables 2x optical zoom along with Mi A1’s 10x digital zoom. Up front, it has a 5MP shooter.
Just like the earlier Mi A1 devices, the red one also comes running on stock-Android Nougat out of the box. Xiaomi will soon push Android Oreo to all Mi A1 devices. The phone is backed by a 3080mAh battery and has a fingerprint sensor at the back.
Xiaomi Mi A1 Price and Availability
The Mi A1 Red Edition phone has been priced in India at Rs. 13,999, but potential buyers can buy the phone at a discounted price of Rs 12,999 during Xiaomi’s No.1 Fan sales promotional event on December 20 and December 21 on Mi.com/in.
