Mi A1 is the latest offering by the Chinese smartphone maker, Xiaomi. The all new Xiaomi Mi A1 has a couple of first to boast of - this is the first Xiaomi India device to have dual-rear cameras and the first to deliver a stock Android experience without any custom skin layered on top.
The Xiaomi Mi A1 runs on a well-optimised Android Nougat 7.1.2 OS, with no MIUI (Xiaomi's homegrown software) strings attached to it. The phone comes clad in an all-metallic unibody design with 2.5D glass on the front and two antenna bands placed at the back. Overall, the design will remind you of iPhone 7 Plus.
Reading the specification sheet, the Xiaomi Mi A1 is equipped with Snapdragon 625 chipset, paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space (expandable up to 128GB via hybrid slim slot). The phone packs a 3080mAh non-removable battery with no fast charging support.
The camera performance on Mi A1 is supported by two horizontally placed cameras at the back. Both cameras sport 12MP+12MP sensors, one with a wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and the other with a telephoto lens of f/2.6 aperture. On the front, the smartphone features a 5MP camera that comes with real-time beautification setting.
In connectivity terms, the Xiaomi Mi A1 includes 4G VoLTE support, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, USB Type-C port, and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also supports a fingerprint sensor, placed at the back of the phone, for security purpose.
