Images and promotional video of Xiaomi Mi 6X, which is expected to be pushed as Mi A2 globally, have already made it to official website well ahead of the scheduled launch.

The Mi 6X will retail in five colors options including Ice Blue, Crimson Red, Cherry Pink, Sand Gold, and Black. The back of the phone is similar to the Redmi Note 5 Pro, save for one glaring difference – It’s entirely made of metal.

Of course, the display has 18:9 aspect ratio and the video also confirms the presence of 3.5mm audio jack.

Xiaomi Mi 6X or Mi A2 Features

In China, Mi 6X should run MIUI 9.5 based on Android Oreo out of the box. However, a lot of excitement around the phone stems from the fact that this could indeed be the Mi A2, or the successor to Xiaomi’s stock Android phone Mi A1 in India. In fact, the Mi A1 has been discontinued in India, and that could mean the imminent arrival of Mi A2.

Rumors suggest that the handset will be powered by Snapdragon 660 with 128GB storage and Xiaomi could very well use it to compete head-on with the Nokia 7 Plus in India.

Other rumored specs include a 20MP rear camera, a secondary 8MP rear camera, a 20MP front camera, USB Type-C port, Face Unlock and 3000mAh battery.
