It is official that Xiaomi will unveil its mid-range Mi 6X device on the forthcoming April 25 event. The information was made public by Xiaomi who shared an official teaser of the device on Weibo – China’s social networking site. So, we will be finally seeing the successor of Mi 5X, that could land in India as the Mi A2.
A new teaser released by Xiaomi shows a model holding the Blue-colored Mi 6X. The design is reminiscent of Redmi Note 5 Pro (thanks to the dual rear camera capsule). Additionally, Xiaomi also revealed that the Mi 6X will flaunt 20-megapixel sensors both on the rear and the front.
Xiaomi Mi 6X Features (Expected)
Earlier, the Mi 6X listing on TENAA – Chinese Certification Site – leaked all the specifications of the device. According to it, the phone features a 5.99-inch Full HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) display with 18:9 screen aspect ratio. The Mi 6X is said to be powered by Snapdragon 660 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage.
In optics, the Mi 6X 20MP rear camera will be combined with a 12-megapixel sensor with f/2.0 and f/1.8 apertures, respectively.
The handset is likely to house 2,910mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 and expected to run on Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 out-of-the-box. However, the global version of Mi 6X, Mi A2, will ship with stock-Android.
The Mi A2 will be launched in India as the successor of Mi A1. To recall, the Mi A1, announced last year, is the only stock-Android phone in Xiaomi’s portfolio. It comes with 5.5-inch HD display, Snapdragon 625 CPU, dual-12MP rear camera, and 3080mAh. The Mi A1 is currently selling for Rs. 13,999.
