Xiaomi Mi 6C aka Xiaomi Jason Spotted on GFXBench

The debate on whether Xiaomi will Launch Mi 6 in India or not and amidst all that a new variant – MI 6C has been spotted on GFXBench website. Internally, Xiaomi has codenamed the Mi 6C as ‘Jason’.

If you take Xiaomi MI 6C specification leak seriously, it seems that it shares a lot of the feature and specs with more recently launched Mi 6. As per the GFXBench listing, the Xiaomi Mi 6C boasts 5.15-inch full HD display with 1920x 1080P resolution.

It will be powered by Qualcomm’s latest release Snapdragon 660 octa-core chipset which is clocked at 2.2GHz and mated to Adreno 512 GPU and 6GB RAM. The phone is said to run on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 garnished on top. In the optics side, the trimmed down version of the Mi 6 is said trear-mounted12-megapixel primary camera with dual-tone LED flash and a 4-megapixel selfie shooter on the front. Xiaomi is expected to offer 64GB on-board storage with a hybrid slot where secondary SIM can be swapped with a microSD card.

Xiaomi’s Jason aka Mi6C could very well turn out to be the a mid-range smartphone priced aggressive by the company to take on its fierce competitors in the home turf where it has conceded some of its market share to challengers like Oppo, Vivo and Huawei.
