Xiaomi has officially introduced the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra to global markets during MWC 2026 in Barcelona on February 28. The phones originally debuted in China in late 2025, and Xiaomi has now begun expanding availability across Europe, the UK, and several other regions.

The global pricing starts at €999 for the Xiaomi 17 and €1,499 for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Leitzphone costs even more at €1,999.

Alongside the phones, Xiaomi also launched several ecosystem products at the event. These include Xiaomi Watch 5, Xiaomi Tag similar to an AirTag, Xiaomi Pad 8, Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, ultra-slim magnetic powerbank, Redmi Buds 8 Pro, and Electric Scooter 6 Ultra.

The global models bring a few changes compared to the Chinese versions. The most noticeable adjustment is a slightly smaller battery on some variants to meet regional requirements, while the rest of the hardware remains largely unchanged. Let’s take a look in detail.

Xiaomi 17 Specs

The Xiaomi 17 features a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate, and peak brightness rated up to 3,500 nits. The phone runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Memory options include 12 GB or 16 GB RAM paired with 256 GB or 512 GB storage.

The global version carries a 6,330 mAh silicon carbon battery with 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Chinese variant has a battery of 7,000 mAh, making the international model slightly smaller.

On the camera side, Xiaomi includes three 50 MP sensors co-developed with Leica. The setup includes the 50 MP Light Fusion 950 main camera, a 50 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50 MP telephoto camera. The front camera is also 50 MP.

Physically, the phone measures 8.06 mm thick and weighs 191 grams. Color options include Black, Venture Green, Alpine Pink, and Ice Blue. The phone runs on Android 16 with HyperOS 3, has an IP68 rating, and is protected by Xiaomi Shield Glass.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra Specs

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a 6.9-inch OLED display with very thin bezels and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The phone runs on the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Configurations go up to 16 GB RAM and 1 TB storage.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra

Battery capacity is 6,000 mAh, with support for 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. That is 800 mAh smaller than the Chinese Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

The camera system includes four sensors. The main camera is 50 MP using a 1-inch type LOFIC sensor for improved dynamic range. There is also a 50 MP ultra-wide, and a 200 MP HPE periscope telephoto that can do continuous optical zoom from 75 mm to 100 mm. The front camera again comes in at 50 MP.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra

The device measures about 8.29 mm thick and weighs roughly 218 grams. Colors include Black, White, and Starlit Green. The design includes Xiaomi’s Guardian Structure and carries an IP68 rating. There is also an optional photography kit accessory.

India Launch Scheduled for March 11

Xiaomi has confirmed that the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Ultra, and the Xiaomi Pad 8 will launch in India on March 11, 2026. Pricing for India will be revealed at that event.

Early expectations suggest the Indian version of the Xiaomi 17 may ship with a battery around 6,300 mAh. For now, the Xiaomi 17 Pro has not been announced for global markets or India.
