TL; DR
- Vivo X500 Pro is tipped with a 50MP LOFIC sensor and a 64MP Sony periscope.
- The phone is being tested with MediaTek’s 2nm Dimensity 9600 chipset, per the leak.
- China launch is expected in September 2026, with India likely following in early 2027.
If you aren’t already aware, vivo’s flagship lineup is doing well at the moment. Skipping the X400 minbiker altogether, the Chinese manufacturer is gearing up to unveil the X500 lineup this year, perhaps by the last calendar quarter.
Months ahead of its expected launch, camera specifications of the upcoming vivo X500 Pro have leaked on Weibo, courtesy of reliable tipster Digital Chat Station.

Vivo X500 Pro’s Leaked Camera Details
Vivo has allegedly developed a working prototype of the X500 Pro featuring a triple-camera rear setup. It features a 50MP LOFIC camera paired with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, which should improve dynamic range in high-contrast lighting by preventing highlight or detail loss.
This is the same technology that debuted on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. Along with the primary sensor, buyers could get a 50MP ultrawide camera and a 64MP Sony IMX06H periscope telephoto lens that could provide approximately 3x optical zoom and support telemacro photography.

Two other things worth highlighting here. First, the tipster mentions a small-screen flagship, which could refer to the “mini” version of the vivo X500 Pro. The current-generation X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch screen, so that adds up well. Second, it looks like the 200MP from the X300 Pro (review) could be reserved for the X500 Pro Max.

Other Expected Specifications
On the chipset side, the X500 Pro is reportedly being tested with MediaTek’s next-generation Dimensity 9600, based on TSMC’s 2nm process.

Beyond the camera, the vivo X500 Pro could come with a 6.37-inch flat LTPO OLED display at 1.5K resolution with 120Hz refresh, a 7,000mAh-plus battery with 90W wired charging, IP69 water resistance, and OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
None of these specifications have been officially confirmed by vivo.
