Vivo to add three new smartphones to the X100 Series: Launch date confirmed

In January 2024, Vivo launched its next flagship smartphone series. The Vivo X100 Series was announced which included two devices- Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro. Now, for the last few weeks, we have been hearing rumors about the brand adding not one or two but three more smartphones to the flagship series. And today finally, the launch date of these upcoming devices has been confirmed by Vivo itself.

Vivo will launch Vivo X100 Ultra, Vivo X100s, and Vivo X100s Pro smartphones on 13th May at 7 PM local time. The launch is taking place in the home country China as of now and the global launch is expected to take place in the coming months. Alongside, the date of launch Vivo has also shared some camera samples and details about the upcoming members of the Vivo X100 family.

Vivo X100 Ultra, Vivo X100s & Vivo X100s Pro: Launch date

Vivo will launch all three smartphones on 13th May at 7 PM local time. Post-launch the devices will be available for pre-order via Vivo’s official website in China.

Vivo X100 Ultra, Vivo X100s & Vivo X100s Pro: Details

Some teasers have surfaced online via Weibo that reveal details about the three smartphones. The upcoming Vivo X100 Ultra will sport a 50MP LYT-900 main sensor with CIPA 4.5-level gimbal stabilization. There will also be a 200MP Zeiss APO super-telephoto camera that will be an HP9 sensor. Vivo’s partnership with Zeiss will continue to improve the camera setup even more.

Some camera samples taken by Vivo X100s have also been shared by Vivo’s president Jia Jingdong, but other than that no details have been revealed.

Vivo X100 Ultra is tipped to be powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and comes in Titanium White and black shades. Vivo X100s is expected to be powered by Dimensity 9300+ chipset and sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K 8T LTPO OLED display. It is said to come with 120W fast charging and a glass black design. The Vivo X100s is tipped to come in Titanium Black, Blue, and White hues while X100s Pro will arrive in Titanium Black and White colors.

More details will be known about the smartphones next week when they finally go official in China.

Vivo X100 Ultra will reportedly come in the following storage configurations-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage-CNY 6699 (Rs. 77,505)
  • 16GB RAM+512GB storage- CNY 7499 (Rs. 86,000)
  • 16GB RAM+1TB storage- CNY 8499 (Rs. 98,000)

Meanwhile, Vivo X100s is expected to come in the following storage models-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage- CNY 3999 (Rs. 46,000)
  • 16GB RAM+256GB storage- CNY 4399 (Rs. 50,000)
  • 16GB RAM+512GB storage- CNY 4699 (Rs. 54,000)
  • 16GB RAM+1TB storage- CNY 5199 (Rs. 60,000)
