Vivo phone prices after 18% GST rate

Mobile phones in India will undergo a price hike due to the revised GST rate. It has been increased from 12 percent to 18 percent. Like other brands, Vivo has also revealed the updated prices of its phones.

The new prices are effective from 1 April 2020, ie today. And will be applicable to both offline and online outlets.

As you can gather from the above table, the prices of Vivo V-series and S-series phones has rose by Rs 2,000 while Y-series phones are now expensive by Rs 1,000.

So far, Oppo and Xiaomi have also released their respective increased prices. Let’s see how other brands and the upcoming phones, in general, reflect the GST hike. We also look forward to how this will impact the market demand and the mobile industry, considering depreciating INR and logistics issues due to Covid 19.
