Vivo is scheduled to launch the new Nex S – first truly bezel-less display phone, on June 12. However, days before the official announcement, the phone was allegedly spotted on Vivo’s official e-store in China. We didn’t come across the page, but its screenshot was shared by Slashgear, revealing the phone’s design and price tag.

According to the image, the Vivo Nex S to cost 9,999 yuan in China, which in Indian currency is Rs 1,04,862. If so, the phone could be the second mainstream media phone to cost Rs 1 Lakh – competing with Apple’s iPhone X.

Vivo Nex S Design (Leaked)

The image went on to reveal some key elements of the Nex S design. The renders show the phone with an all-display fascia with minimal bezel at the bottom but nothing on top (no bezel or notch). The visible fingerprint symbols on the screen make it likely for the handset to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor, just like Vivo X21.

From the rear, the Vivo Nex S can be seen sporting a dual-rear camera with LED flash on the top-right corner, Nex branding in the middle, and Vivo name at the bottom. The power button and volume rocker can be spotted on the right edge of the phone.

Interestingly, there is another button on the left edge, which we are not sure of what it does as of now.

The buzz in the town is that Vivo’s Nex S could be the consumer-ready model of Vivo’s Apex phone, which was announced in Barcelona during MWC 2018. Back then, the phone, in prototype, made headlines for its retractable front camera, 98 percent screen-to-body ratio and an in-display fingerprint sensor that can be accessed by tapping anywhere on the bottom half of the screen.

Vivo Nex S Specifications (Expected)

Speculations are that Vivo Nex S could feature in two models – one with Snapdragon 845 and the other with Snapdragon 710, both to sport a 6.59-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, up front.

Other leaked/ rumored features of Vivo Nex S include a 12MP+5MP sensors on the rear and an 8MP camera, which is speculated to retract into the phone when not in use. The phone expected to house a 4,000 mAh battery, up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage space.

In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Nex S includes 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5.0, micro USB 2.0, GPS, OTG support among others.
