Last month, we revealed the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s 5K renders in collaboration with @OnLeaks. The renders revealed quite a bit of information about the upcoming clamshell foldable from Samsung. Now, we have more information from a Samsung leaker, Anthony on X, about the Galaxy Z Flip 6’s specs.

In the renders we showcased last month, we confirmed that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 would have a 3.4-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch inner display. However, recent leaks suggest that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature a larger 3.9-inch cover display, while the inner display size remains unchanged at 6.7 inches.

It is suggested that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will feature the Gorilla Glass Armor protection, possibly only on the cover display. This would be a huge upgrade since Gorilla Glass Armor has an anti-reflective coating that makes the viewing experience top-notch.

Moreover, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is also said to have an improved hinge design with some changes in the internals of the hinge. This could probably be reducing the number of components in the hinge. Unfortunately, we don’t have any details as to what the “improved” hinge is going to be like.

Under the hood, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 For Galaxy, which is the same chip used on the company’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S24 Ultra. To accompany the more powerful chip, Samsung is said to include a larger cooling system for better thermal efficiency.

The device is also said to be paired with 12 GB of RAM, a notable upgrade from the 8 GB on the Galaxy Z Flip 5. Speaking of notable upgrades, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will carry a larger 4000 mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. For perspective, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 had a 3700 mAh battery with the same charging speeds.

On the rear, the foldable will reportedly have a 50 MP main camera paired with a 12 MP ultra-wide lens. Further details about the camera sensors are still unknown. Finally, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will get seven years of updates just like the Galaxy S24 series and all the Galaxy AI features that were introduced earlier this year.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Rumored Specs

Here’s a quick rundown of what we’ve discussed so far:

  • 3.9-inch cover display and a 6.7-inch inner display, both 120 Hz
  • Possible Gorilla Glass Armor protection, possibly only on the cover display
  • Improved hinge design
  • Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip with a larger cooling system
  • 12 GB RAM
  • 4000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging
  • 50 MP main camera + 12 MP ultra-wide lens
  • Seven years of updates, with Galaxy AI features

It’s important to note that these specifications are not confirmed and should be taken with a pinch of salt. While we can expect Samsung to add a larger battery or a better cooling system, adding a larger cover display seems improbable. Nevertheless, we’ll have to wait for the official launch to be able to see what’s actually on the table. The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is expected to launch in mid-July.
