Last month, some reports claimed Samsung to be working on a more affordable version of the Galaxy Z Fold 6. It would help the company increase its market share and enable more users to experience a foldable. While the idea didn’t sink in properly, a new report now claims that the Korean tech giant could launch an ‘Ultra’ foldable this year.

Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE Or Z Fold 6 Ultra?

According to tipster Roland Quandt, this year’s Galaxy Fold lineup has an ‘Ultra’ variant. In the report published in WinfutureSamsung will offer the regular Galaxy Z Fold 6. However, another more expensive model, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra, will join the lineup. If this happens, it will make the Fold series similar to the Galaxy S series, which contains both regular and ‘Ultra’ versions. However, the extent to which the Z Fold 6 Ultra will differ from the regular model isn’t known yet.

Possible Additions In The ‘Ultra’ Variant

Possible differences between the Z Fold 6 and Z Fold 6 Ultra could include display size, memory configuration, integrated S-Pen, better cameras, and an improved battery that supports faster charging rates. The idea of two foldables in the Z Fold lineup isn’t new, as we’ve heard before, but in a different context – the second phone was said to be a Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE. Nonetheless, this appears to be a speculation, as there’s no concrete information on the topic.

If Samsung is indeed working on a Fold 6 ‘Ultra,’ we’re assuming it will be one of the most expensive smartphones money can buy. Currently, the Fold 5 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is available in India for Rs. 1,54,999. Considering the difference between the regular Galaxy S24 and the Galaxy S24 Ultra and the Fold 6 Ultra’s sophisticated display tech, there’s a good chance that the smartphone could be priced even higher.

Here’s When The Next Samsung Galaxy Unpacked Event Will Take Place

According to a report by SamMobile, Samsung will host the next Galaxy Unpacked event in early July, possibly on the 10th of the month. At the event, the company should launch its upcoming foldables – the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and the Galax Z Flip 6. Further, the much-awaited Galaxy Ring could also debut in July. The publication also mentions the possibility of the Galaxy Watch 7 showing up at the event, but it isn’t confirmed.
