Samsung India has officially confirmed the launch date for the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge, touted as the slimmest Galaxy S-series phone ever, via its official channels today. Following months of leaks, teasers, and rumors, the device will debut in India on May 13, 2025, at 1:30 PM IST, with the event streaming live on samsung.com, aligning with its global launch schedule.

Galaxy S25 Edge: Launch Details and Features

The teaser, featuring the tagline “Beyond Slim,” emphasizes the S25 Edge’s ultra-thin 5.8mm design, as initially leaked by Smartprix X OnLeaks. The device will tip the scale at just 163 grams but sport a 6.7-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and a titanium bezel.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is said to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 12 GB RAM and storage options of 256 GB or 512 GB. There will not be a 1 TB option. The camera setup is said to include a 200 MP main sensor and a 12 MP ultra-wide lens, with a 10MP front camera.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will have the smallest battery in the S25 family, at 3,900 mAh. That’s 100 mAh smaller than the S25’s 4,000 mAh battery. The wired charging speed will be 25W, with wireless charging also expected. Finally, the device will sport an IP68 rating, and One UI 7 with 7 years of OS updates.
