Samsung has finally launched the slimmest Galaxy S-Series smartphone globally. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is merely 5.8mm thick and, despite being sleek, is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The brand has positioned it between the Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra, and its India price has also been announced. Earlier, it was tipped to be named Samsung Galaxy S25 Slim, but Samsung opted for ‘Edge’ instead. This expands the Galaxy S25 lineup to include four smartphones- Samsung Galaxy S25, Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge & Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Pricing & Sale Date

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is now up for pre-order globally. It will hit the global stores on 23rd May and has a starting price of 1099.99 USD, around Rs. 94,000.

Earlier, there was news about India’s launch event getting cancelled due to India-Pakistan tension, but the Galaxy S25 Edge will be available via Flipkart and Amazon after 1 PM today. India pricing is as follows-

  • 12GB RAM+256GB storage-Rs. 1,09,999
  • 12GB RAM+512GB storage-Rs. 1,21,999

For now, the 512GB variant is selling for Rs. 1,09,999 during the pre-order phase.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge: Specifications

The Galaxy S25 Edge boasts of a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution, 2600 nits brightness, Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with up to 12GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

In terms of camera, there is a 200MP primary sensor at the back along with a 12MP ultrawide camera. At the front is a 12MP selfie camera. It is a slim phone, and thus, you get a 3900mAh battery under the hood with a typical Samsung 25W wired charging speed. The phone runs Android 15-based One UI 7 and also supports Galaxy AI features like Audio Eraser and Drawing Assist. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and more.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge weighs merely 163 grams and has a Titanium alloy frame all around. The smartphone comes in Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Icy Blue, and Titanium Silver colors.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge has been launched amidst rumors of Apple bringing a slimmer version of its iPhone, namely the iPhone Air in September. While Samsung has managed to beat Apple in terms of launching a sleek device, whether the Galaxy S25 Edge will be able to beat the iPhone 17 Air in real-time performance remains to be seen.
