Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Review: Beautiful, Bold, and Undeniably Forward-Thinking
#ExpertReview
The word “Edge” in Samsung’s dictionary has evolved. It once represented bold curves, but now signifies something entirely different: unprecedented thinness. With the Galaxy S25 Edge, that legacy has been rewritten. The curve is gone; this time, “Edge” describes its razor-thin profile. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is arguably the thinnest Galaxy phone ever created.
From the front and back, the Galaxy S25 Edge doesn’t appear drastically different from other smartphones. However, turning it sideways reveals Samsung’s clear intention. While technically part of the flagship Galaxy S25 lineup, the S25 Edge clearly operates in a different realm, prioritizing style, portability, and standing out in a market saturated with bulky phones.
- Premium design with Excellent ergonomics
- Excellent display
- A capable main camera
- Competition offers an IP69 rating
- Small capacity battery
Frequently Asked Questions
How is the battery life on the ultra-thin Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge?
Despite housing a compact 3,900 mAh battery inside its 5.8 mm frame, it easily gets you through a full workday with 6 to 8 hours of screen-on time under normal usage. The power-efficient Snapdragon 8 Elite processor does heavy lifting behind the scenes to optimize daily power consumption.
Does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge overheat due to its slim design?
The phone can warm up faster than thicker flagships during prolonged gaming or heavy 4K recording sessions due to its ultra-thin profile. For day-to-day tasks like social media, navigation, and streaming, thermals stay comfortably cool.
What processor powers the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in India?
All Indian variants of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge feature the top-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset paired with 12GB of RAM. You get flagship-level speed, smooth multitasking, and full support for advanced Galaxy AI features without regional Exynos tradeoffs.
Is the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge durable enough for daily use without a case?
It features a tough titanium frame and new Gorilla Glass Ceramic display protection to withstand daily bumps. That said, because the body is so thin at 5.8 mm, pairing it with a sleek case helps protect against drops while improving overall grip.
Should I buy the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge or the base Samsung Galaxy S25?
Pick the Galaxy S25 Edge if you want a striking, ultra-thin 5.8 mm premium design and a sharper 200MP main camera. If you prioritize saving money or prefer a slightly more traditional form factor, the base S25 remains a solid alternative.
Does the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge support dual SIM and 5G in India?
Yes, it offers dual SIM functionality via one physical nano-SIM slot and eSIM support. It fully supports all Indian 5G bands across major networks like Reliance Jio and Airtel.
How many software updates will the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge receive?
Samsung provides 7 years of major Android OS upgrades and security patches for the device. This ensures your phone stays current with new features, software improvements, and security protection all the way through 2032.
