TL; DR
  • A YouTube Short reveals the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge with key specs, directly comparing it to the Z Fold 6.
  • 5.84mm thickness, 6.7-inch 120 Hz display, with a glass-back design and subtle camera bump.
  • 200 MP main sensor, 12 MP ultra-wide, Snapdragon 8 Elite, 12 GB RAM, 4,000 mAh battery, and 25W fast charging.
  • Launch is expected for May 2025.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was teased at Samsung’s Unpacked event a few weeks ago, and since then, leaks have been piling up. But now, we have the biggest leak yet—a full-fledged YouTube Short showcasing the S25 Edge in action, comparing it directly to the Z Fold6, and showing us all the key hardware specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is Thin

The video clearly shows the S25 Edge alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 (review). When unfolded, the Z Fold6 measures just 5.6 mm in thickness, while the S25 Edge appears slightly thicker in comparison.

This closely aligns with our leaked thickness of the S25 Edge—5.84 mm. The exact dimensions are 158.2 x 77.5 x 5.84 mm, and seeing it side by side with the Z Fold6 further confirms our findings.

Additionally, the Galaxy S25 Edge is slightly taller than the Z Fold6, which stands at 153.2 mm. Our leak places the S25 Edge at 158.2 mm, reinforcing this difference.

The Galaxy S25 Plus (review), measuring 158.4 mm in height and 75.8 mm in width, is very close in size to the S25 Edge (158.2 mm height, 77.5 mm width). This suggests the S25 Edge will feature a display size similar to the S25 Plus, around 6.7 inches.

The design looks sleek, with an aluminum frame and what appears to be a glass back. The camera bump is subtly oblique, just enough to hide the sensors but still slightly raised.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Camera Specs Leaked

Speaking of cameras, the leaked video gives us a full look at the camera setup. The S25 Edge features a 200 MP 23mm main sensor with a max resolution of 4K. We cannot say for sure if this is the same sensor as the Galaxy S25 Ultra (review). The ultra-wide is a 10/12 MP 13mm shooter with autofocus, with video maxing out at a rather strange 3.3K resolution.

Interestingly, the ultra-wide is not borrowed from the base S25 models, which lack autofocus. It’s likely the same ultra-wide that’s used on the last generation S24 Ultra. The front camera is a 12 MP 26mm shooter, maxing out at 4K, and is likely also borrowed from the S24 Ultra.

Other hardware details have also emerged. The device in the video carries the model number SM-S937U, indicating it’s the US variant. It’s running One UI 7, as evident from the status bar, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset with an Adreno 830 GPU.

The maximum RAM appears to be 12 GB, with storage being 256 GB, though a 512 GB variant could also be in the works. The battery is rated at 4,000 mAh, with a typical capacity of around 3,786 mAh, and it should support 25W fast charging.

This latest leak further solidifies our earlier reports, especially regarding dimensions and hardware details. The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to be officially revealed in May 2025, positioning itself against Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air.

It will likely launch alongside Samsung’s Android XR-powered VR headset, which was recently showcased. With this leak, we now have a clear picture of what to expect from Samsung’s next-gen slim flagship.
