TL; DR
- A new leak claims the Galaxy A38 will feature a 50MP main camera, a 12MP ultrawide, a 5MP macro, and a 12MP selfie camera.
- The rumored setup matches the current Galaxy A37 in most areas, although the ultrawide could get a resolution bump from 8MP to 12MP.
- The camera hardware may not change much, leaving the chipset, battery, charging, and software as the main areas to watch.
Samsung’s Galaxy A38 camera specifications have leaked, and the numbers suggest a familiar setup. The same source that recently shared details about the Galaxy A58’s cameras now claims the A38 will feature a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultrawide, a 5MP macro, and a 12MP front camera.
Galaxy A38 could get familiar camera hardware

The Galaxy A37, which launched earlier this year, features a 50MP main camera with a relatively large 1/1.56-inch sensor, an 8MP ultrawide, a 5MP macro, and a 12MP selfie camera.
If the new leak is accurate, Samsung will retain the same headline resolutions for the main, macro, and front cameras on the Galaxy A38. The ultrawide could see an upgrade from 8MP to 12MP, although other reports still point to an 8MP sensor. The exact sensor sizes and other hardware details remain unknown.
Samsung can improve image processing even without changing the camera hardware, but the rumored specifications don’t suggest a major camera overhaul. Whether the A38 takes better photos will depend on factors beyond megapixel counts, including the sensors, optics, and image processing.

Galaxy A38 launch details remain unclear
The Galaxy A37 also packs an Exynos 1480 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and an IP68 rating.
The Galaxy A58, meanwhile, is expected to arrive around March or April and is also rumored to retain its predecessor’s camera setup. If both phones stick with similar camera hardware, the more meaningful upgrades could come from their processors, battery life, charging speeds, and software.
