Samsung Galaxy Note 8 To Sport Dual Rear Cameras? Yes! Says Renowned KGI Analyst

Looks like Samsung is really going at great lengths to get over the financial (and even emotional, we daresay) trauma that its Galaxy Note 7 handset brought along with itself.

A research work by renowned KGI securities analyst, Mr. Ming-Chi Kuo, puts forth a very interesting conclusion. The analyst claims that the South Korean company’s latest high-end offering will have a dual camera setup at the back.

Should the information turn out true, the Galaxy Note 8 would become the first smartphone in Samsung’s ranks to have a couple of cameras on its spine.

The ill-fated Galaxy Note 7

The phone is currently being worked upon, and has been nicknamed internally as ‘Great’, possibly due to the humongous amount of expectation the company would be having, due to the havoc its ill-fated predecessor caused.

Anyway, Kuo’s piece of research elucidates that the phone would be having a pair of cameras on the back, with one having a wide-angle lens while the other one, he says, will be come bearing a telephoto lens.

The wide-angle totting camera would be a 12MP one, whareas the one with the telephoto lens will produce 13MP images. Combined together, the camera unit will offer 3x zoom and offer 2-axis OIS support.

Will the Galaxy Note 8 be better than this?

Kuo appears to have immense faith in Samsung’s camera-making abilities, so much so that it claims that he claims that the optics on the Note 8 will overpower those on Apple’s iPhone 7 Plus smartphone.

The much-awaited phone is expected to be brought out in the third quarter of this year and it would be extremely interesting to how it fares once it gets out in the market.
