Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ specs, color variants & expected prices surface online

Samsung has officially confirmed today that it will hold an Unpacked Event in February 2022. The event is expected to see the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S22 Series and the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Series. Ahead of the launch event, specs and other details of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ have been tipped online, read on to know about them.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ Expected Color & Storage Variants

According to the report of LetsGoDigital, the Galaxy Tab S8+ will come in 2 color options- Gray and Pink Gold. The renders have also been leaked by the source which confirms that the series will have 3 variants of the Tablet which were codenamed- Basquiat 3, Basquiat 2, and Basquiat 1 respectively.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ is expected to arrive in 4 configuration variants-

  • WiFi only 8GB RAM+128GB storage (around Rs. 74,700)
  • WiFi only 8GB RAM+256GB storage
  • 5G version 8GB RAM+128GB storage (around Rs. 87,700)
  • 5G version 8GB RAM+256GB storage

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ Expected Specs

LetsGoDigital has also leaked some specs for the S8+ variant of the Tab S8 series. It is said to sport a 12.4-inch display with its dimensions being 285x185x5.7mm. It is expected to be a Super AMOLED display with WQXGA+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate with 420 nits brightness. There is a fingerprint sensor and facial recognition technology too.

Tab S8+ will reportedly be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and run Android 12 with One UI 4.1 OS. There is 5G connectivity so there will be different variants for everyone’s needs. The device is expected to have RAM of up to 8GB and storage of up to 256GB. However, there are reports of a 16GB RAM and 512GB storage variant too.

Sound quality is said to get an upgrade with 4 integrated speakers placed over the sides of the tablet. The speakers are tuned by AKG and offer Dolby Atmos support. In the camera department, Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+ is claimed to feature a 12MP or an 8MP front camera and a dual-camera on the back. The dual camera will include a 13MP wide-angle camera and a 6MP ultra-wide-angle camera with LED flash.

A black magnetic strip has been placed next to the camera which is likely to support S-pen. The magnetic strip at the top of the tablet is meant for the stylus pen to get easily connected. The device might have a 10,900mAh battery under the hood.
