Huawei today added another handset to the honor series, the entry-grade Honor Bee 2, meant for the most basic of Android users who would rather buy from a nearby mobile store.

To start with, it comes with a 4.5-inch (FWVGA) display and it’s powered by 1.3GHz quad-core processor paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB ROM (that sounds way too scanty for 2017). The EUI software running on the phone is based on Android Lollipop, which, again, sounds a bit dated as of today.

Honor Bee will support 4G VoLTE and Reliance Jio SIM cards. Other features include a 5MP rear camera with dual LED flash, basic 2MP selfie snapper, 2100mAh battery, dual SIM slots, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.

“We are very excited to introduce the Honor Bee2 in India through our vast offline channel and are confident that it will be a strong performer in the lower mid-level segment. We at Honor are focused on embedding powerful features in the mid-range devices at an affordable price to accommodate consumers’ lifestyle. The Honor Bee2 offers best-in-class user experience, beautiful design and a great mix of hardware and software will be an exceptional choice for consumers in the mid segment market in India,” said, P Sanjeev, Vice President Sales, Huawei India-Consumer Business Group.

Huawei is offering 15-months of service warranty with the Honor Bee 2.
