Samsung Galaxy M53 5G launched as an affordable alternative to the Galaxy A73

Samsung has been launching phones after phones ever since 2022 began and the company is surely in no mood to slow down as it has gone ahead and quietly launched one more device, namely the Galaxy M53 5G which can be called the toned-down version of the Galaxy A73, which launched earlier.

For now, Samsung has listed this new smartphone, Galaxy M53 5G on the Samsung Mobile Press Website, which has provided the details about its specs. There is a closer look at the phone’s design too.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G Price & Availability

By the time of writing this article, there is no word from Samsung about what the price of M53 will be and whether it would come to India or not. However, the reports suggest that if the device launches in India, it would be the toned-down variant of the Galaxy A73 device and thus the price can be somewhere around Rs. 35,000.

The Press Website has revealed that the smartphone will come in Blue, Green, and Brown colors.

Samsung Galaxy M53 5G Specs

The Samsung Galaxy M53 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Plus Infinity-O display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There is no information about Gorilla Glass protection but it has a punch hole design with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. It has a glass back with a frosted glass finish.

The device is powered by an unnamed octa-core processor (most probably MediaTek Dimensity 900) coupled with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. There is a microSD card for expansion of storage up to 1TB. The smartphone runs Android 12 based on OneUI 4.1

In the camera department, Galaxy M53 5G has a 32MP front camera for selfies and video calls. At the back, it has a quad-camera setup inside a square camera module. The quad-camera setup includes a 108MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. The device is powered by a 5000mAh battery with 25W super-fast charging support.

For security purposes, Samsung has provided Samsung Knox and connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, WiFi 802.11, and Bluetooth 5.2.
