The Korean tech giant Samsung has extended its Galaxy F lineup in India with the launch of the Galaxy F17 5G. Taking after the F16 5G launched last year, the handset offers a large 6.7-inch screen that supports a higher refresh rate, features an Exynos octa-core chipset under its hood, and offers a triple camera setup with all the functional sensors.

As part of an introductory offer, buyers can get Rs. 500 cashback using HDFC bank cards for transactions, along with six months NCEMI. The phone is available on Samsung’s website and Flipkart, starting from September 11, 2025.

The Galaxy F17 5G features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen with a U-shaped cutout at the top and Gorilla Glass Victus protection. Its refresh rate, however, is capped at 90Hz (instead of 120Hz).

Under the hood, the phone runs on the Exynos 1330 (5nm) SoC, which features an octa-core CPU and the Mali-G68 MP2 GPU. The chipset runs alongside up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB using a microSD card).

Out of the box, the handset runs on One UI 7.0 based on Android 15, and like other Samsung handsets, the phone will get six years of operating system and security updates.

Regarding optics, the phone features a 50MP (f/1.8, AF) primary sensor, a 5MP (f/2.2) ultrawide sensor, and another 2MP (f/2.2) macro sensor, paired with a 13MP (f/2.0) selfie sensor. Powering the handset is a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 25W fast wired charging.

Connectivity options on the handset include 5G, dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth v5.3, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, and a USB Type-C port.
