Samsung kickstarts the Techtember with Galaxy A90 5G, the newest member from the A-series. The South Korean brand employs global newsroom for a mild announcement. The phone comes engined by the Snapdragon 855 chipset. The 5G suffix appended to its name underlines the prospective use case for an Era of Live.
However, since we are still afar from a 5G mainstream adoption, the rest of its specs stands relevant, period.
Samsung Galaxy A90 5G: Highlights
A90 5G embellishes a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED Infinity-U display. A coveted 32MP sensor stays in that slit. It supports facial recognition. So, you could unlock the device using the same or the under-display fingerprint scanner.
At the back, you get a triple camera setup with a 48MP primary camera coupled with an 8MP ultrawide sensor and lastly a 5MP depth-sensing unit.
Inside, you get an Android 9.0 Pie-based One UI running on top of the Snapdragon 855 chipset with X50 modem. The internals includes 6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of Internal Storage which is expandable up to 512GB.

Samsung punctuates the various 5G applications that would be ideally possible in dint of this hardware. Additionally, there is a Game Booster feature to facilitate high-speed online gaming.
Besides the specs, you also get a tinge of Samsung flagships thanks to the Samsung DeX support and Microsoft’s Your Phone app. Dex allows for seamless navigation between the phone and a PC. Like the recently unveiled Note 10 Plus (review), you get to mirror your phone display onto your desktop to check notifications, send and receive messages, and browse through recent photos using the Microsoft Phone app.
Galaxy A90 5G comes with 4,500 mAh battery out of the box which is compatible with 25W fast charging. Well, if you’re wondering, the phone weighs around 206 g. Although the price is still under the veil, we know the phone will be initially hit Korea from September 4. The phone will reportedly expand to other markets eventually. It will be available in black and white colors.
