Samsung Galaxy A01 with Entry-level Specs and Infinity-V Display goes official

Samsung has quietly listed the Galaxy A01 phone in the official website revealing its key details. Looking at the specs, we understand this one’s a budget-oriented device. The same is apparent from the A01 moniker. As you know, this year, Samsung has brought a bunch of smartphones under the Galaxy A series umbrella. So, it seems that the brand is expanding the envelope even further to entertain the ultra-affordable crop of phones.

The overall design cues look akin to other low-end A series phones with Infinity V indentation on the front and left aligned 2D capsule for the rear cameras. But, the bezels are dominant as is obvious with the expected budget price tag. On a similar vein, the back looks tacky plasticky. It is offered in Black, Blue, and Red paints.

The display measures a 5.7-inch with HD+ resolution. Within that notch, a 5-megapixel sensor resides. As for the back, you’ll get a 13-megapixel main shooter coupled with a 2-megapixel secondary sensor.

Although the exact processor spec is not mentioned, it is an octa-core silicon clocked at 1.95 GHz. The internals also shared by 6/8GB RAM and 128GB storage which can be further expanded by a microSD slot.

The phone will make do with 3000mAh battery. Amongst other things, we also know that Galaxy A01 is going to be a dual-SIM handset with a FM Radio and sensors such as proximity sensor, light sensor, and accelerometer. Lastly, if you’re wondering, yeah, we don’t find a fingerprint scanner on the listed images.
