Update: The company General Manager Lu Weibing has confirmed the lack of a pop-up camera on the phone.
Redmi, the spin-off brand of Xiaomi has brought some impressive devices this year and it seems the company is ready to expand the lineup with Redmi Pro 2. Lu Weibing, Vice President and head of Redmi brand, recently confirmed that a Snapdragon 855 device was under works, but won’t be ready for some time.
A popular Weibo blogger has now shared the name and image of the upcoming Snapdragon 855 Redmi Phone, and the renders show a Pop-up camera.

Redmi Pro 2: What we know so far
A recent viral image showed the device alongside Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun. The tech community hints at a notch-less display, Pop-up Camera and In-display fingerprint scanner.

The design element could be in the similar lines of the recently launched Redmi Note 7. It could flaunt gradient color and the leaked image has a punchy red color. You could also see the device hasn’t ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack.
Rest, the Redmi Pro 2 could sport a 48MP camera like the Redmi Note 7 lineup phone(s). So, the back panel could also house a triple camera setup. The oncoming Redmi flagship could feature a ‘lifting camera’ mechanism, maybe another terminology for a pop-up camera.
