Xiaomi sub-brand Redmi is allegedly working on a new smartphone – Redmi 10X. While the sub-brand is yet to officially confirm its existence, an online retailer in China Tianyi Telecommunications has listed Redmi 10X alleged specs and renders on its website.

The phone design ethos seems inspired from the Redmi Note 9 Pro series with one major visible difference. The alleged Redmi 10X phone features selfie camera punched in at the top left corner while the Redmi Note 9 series houses it at the centre.

Redmi 10X spec & features

If the listing on the website is anything to go by, the Redmi 10X will include a 6.53-inch TFT-LCD display with Full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) resolution. The punch hole cut-out will house a 13MP selfie shooter while there will be a quad-camera setup at the back.

The optics at the rear will include a 48MP primary shooter, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP depth and macro sensors.

As per the website, the Redmi 10X will be based on MediaTek Helio P85 mobile platform. If it’s true, the Redmi 10X will become first phone to feature new MediaTek Helio P85 chipset. It is said to feature 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage.

The Redmi 10X is claimed to be backed by a 5,020mAh battery. As for connectivity, it is likely to support 4G LTE network, Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Like most recent Redmi phones, this one is also likely to run Android 10-based MIUI 11 out of the box.
