TL; DR
  • POCO has confirmed that the POCO M8 Power will launch in India on August 4 at 12 PM IST.
  • The company has officially revealed an 8,000 mAh battery, an AMOLED display, and an Orange color option.
  • The smartphone will be available via Flipkart, while pricing and the complete specifications remain under wraps.
  • Previous leaks suggest the device could be a rebadged Redmi Note 17, although POCO has not confirmed any additional specs.

POCO has officially announced that the POCO M8 Power will launch in India on August 4 at 12 PM IST. The company revealed the date through its Flipkart microsite and social channels, confirming that its next M-series smartphone is just days away.

The launch teaser also confirms two of the phone’s biggest highlights. The POCO M8 Power will pack a massive 8,000 mAh battery and feature an AMOLED display, with POCO positioning it as a device built for long hours of entertainment. The teaser image also offers a first look at the smartphone in an Orange finish.

Only a Few Details Are Official for Now

So far, POCO has officially confirmed the 8,000 mAh battery, AMOLED display, Orange color option, and the August 4 launch date. The teaser also shows a square-shaped camera module with two circular cutouts, although the company hasn’t revealed any camera specifications yet.

Expected to Be Based on the Redmi Note 17

Previous firmware findings by Kacper Skrzypek suggest the POCO M8 Power could be a rebadged version of the Redmi Note 17, which debuted in China earlier this month.

If that turns out to be the case, the smartphone is expected to feature a 7-inch 120 Hz OLED display, Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 processor, and 45W wired charging. The large display would make it one of the biggest phones in POCO’s lineup, which lines up with POCO’s “more entertainment” marketing.

With the launch now locked in for August 4 at 12 PM IST, POCO is expected to reveal the remaining specifications, pricing, and availability details during the announcement (or the days leading to the launch). Stay tuned.
