Seems like the countdown for the POCO F4 GT launch in India has begun as the device is slated to arrive in the first half of 2022. It is likely a rebranded Redmi K50 Gaming Edition (or E-Sports Edition) given the fact that POCO F3 GT was a rebranded version of Redmi K40 Gaming Edition. The device has reportedly received FCC certification inching closer to its launch in the country.

The phone will indeed arrive with a Snapdragon 8 Gen1 which is a 2022 flagship chipset from Qualcomm and some bigwigs like Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 5G are using it. Apparently, Anuj Sharma, POCO India country head, confirmed that the upcoming POCO F4 GT will be priced under Rs 50,000 or $670.

For the uninitiated, phones with Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 are relatively cheaper which means Poco F4 GT using the same chipset is a rather affordable premium tier means it will be the most affordable phone with SD8 Gen 1 in Indian and in the global markets as well.

Xiaomiui posted a screenshot of Mi code further strengthening the reports that Poco F4 GT is indeed a rebranded version of Redmi K50G or K50 Gaming Edition.

POCO F4 GT Expected Specifications

As POCO F4 GT is believed to be a rebranded version of Redmi K50 Gaming Edition, the specifications are likely to be similar as well.

This means that the phone is likely to carry a 6.67-inch FHD+ OLED 120Hz panel with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC under the hood. There’s a 4700mAh dual-cell battery onboard along with 120W fast charging tech. You could also get a triple rear camera setup at the back which includes a 64MP primary, a 13MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro auxiliary sensor while the front is likely a 20MP shooter.

AS it is a flagship device, it is fairly safe to assume UFS 3.1 and LPDDR5 RAM systems onboard. Plus, the device will run on Android 12-powered MIUI 13 out-of-the-box.
