OnePlus 5 Android Oreo Beta Update Will Be Released In Next Few Weeks

From the OnePlus 5T launch stage, the Chinese smartphone maker also cleared the air over the Android Oreo update for it’s devices. Currently, both OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T, comes out of the box running on the Android Nougat 7.1.1 based OxygenOS.

As per the reports, the OnePlus 5 beta users will start receiving Oreo update by the end of the month while the OnePlus 5T users will have to wait a “late December” as the update process is a tad more complicated.

All the beta testers of both OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T will receive Android Oreo update via OTA or else they can download manually to flash it on their smartphones. OnePlus 3 series is also on the testing radar of Android Oreo. Although OnePlus did not provide an exact date of the stable version of Oreo update yet they have promised to do it in “early 2018.”

OnePlus 5T is the successor of OnePlus 5 that was launched earlier this year. The smartphone features a 6-inch 18:9 full-HD+ Optic AMOLED screen with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC, coupled with 6GB RAM/8GB RAM and 64GB/128GB storage option. There are two sensors on the rear (16 MP+20 MP), each with F/1.7 aperture lens, while on the front, it has a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.
