OnePlus has officially confirmed the existence of the 6T in an email to CNET and has also revealed that the upcoming phone will include an in-display fingerprint sensor. This fingerprint sensor will be similar to that on Vivo V11 Pro.

It will get activated when called for, and light up, followed by the unlocking procedure. A OnePlus spokesperson said, “We unlock our phones multiple times a day, and Screen Unlock reduces the number of steps to complete the action By adding this feature as an addition to other display unlocking options such as Face Unlock, users will have options to unlock the display in a way that is most efficient for them.”

Further, Oneplus also mentioned in the email that it would have introduced this feature in OnePlus 5T itself, but the firm wasn’t ready with the technology back then. An excerpt from the company’s email says “The technology wasn’t mature enough to meet OnePlus standards for delivering a fast and smooth user experience.”

Additionally, OnePlus 6T could possibly feature a tiny waterdrop notch and three rear cameras, wherein one of the cameras would come with a customized hardware that will help with augmented reality features on the smartphone. The phone will reportedly run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor, with a minimum of 6GB RAM, and will have an 8GB RAM variant for sure, no less than 64GB internal storage that will be expandable upto 256GB on the superior RAM variant, face unlock, dash charging, Oxygen OS layer on Android 9 Pie, and metal-glass finish.

Oneplus has revealed to a US-based company that since it comes with an in-dis

play sensor, the OnePlus 6T will be thicker than OnePlus 6 by 0.45mm.
