There have been rumors about Nothing launching an affordable smartphone for a while now and these rumors were confirmed when Carl Pei himself confirmed Nothing Phone 2a during new year 2024. Ever since the smartphone was confirmed, the reports about how it would look and its specs have become even more common. Now, the latest update has hinted that the launch of Nothing Phone 2a is imminent. UK-based Carl Pei’s Nothing has made it official that Nothing Phone2a will retail via e-commerce portal Flipkart in India.
Nothing 2a Availability Confirmed
Flipkart now has a microsite that teases Nothing Phone 2a smartphone. The page has details about all the products the brand has launched to date along with a ‘Coming Soon’ tag for Nothing Phone 2a. There is a Nothing Community Update video as well that has Akis Evangelidis, co-founder and marketing head talking about Nothing Phone 2a. Though the page doesn’t reveal any details about the smartphone there is a ‘Notify Me’ option that can be subscribed to for remaining updated.

Nothing Phone 2a: Expected design
The latest leaks surrounding Nothing Phone 2a show it in black color with a hole-punch cutout in the center of the screen for selfie snapper. A Reddit user shared some hands-on images and specs of Nothing Phone 2a. The images reveal the design language of Phone 2a to be different from its premium sibling and there is a privacy cover on the front and back. There are 2 rear cameras which are horizontally mounted and placed towards the centre of the back.

Reports claim Nothing Phone 2a will be powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7200 chipset and sport a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. There is said to be a dual 50MP camera setup at the back and a 32MP selfie camera at the front. The phone might come in black and white colorways.
Nothing Phone 2a: Launch Timeline
While Nothing hasn’t announced an exact launch date for Phone 2a, it might happen sometime around MWC 2024, scheduled for late February. The smartphone has been codenamed Aerodactyl and has been made to offer good quality specs at affordable price point.
CMF By Nothing: Neckband Pro & Buds
Nothing’s sub-brand CMF has been teasing new neckband pro and buds that will join the already existing portfolio of Watch Pro, Buds Pro, and Power 65 GaN adapter.
Taking to X, CMF shared teasers for Neckband Pro and Buds claiming that the products will launch soon. The post also reads, ‘Wonderful by Design’ which means the focus has been kept on design language. Details about features are still under wraps, but CMF Buds will most likely be the toned-down version of Buds Pro. Buds Pro launched in India in September 2023 for Rs. 3499 in Dark Grey, Light Grey, and Orange colors. They offer a battery life of up to 11 hours and are IP54-rated.
