HMD Global officially announced that Nokia 5 will be hitting offline stores in India starting Independence day, i.e. August 15, 2017, a week before the first sale on Nokia 6 on Amazon.
Nokia first introduced its Android triumvirate in June, but back then only the Nokia 3 went official at offline stores. Now, post a few GST hiccups, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 are all set for their India expedition.

“As a result of the sophistication in smartphone functionality and services, we spend more time than ever before on our phones. People today want something that fits in the palm of their hands and they want something that will go the distance. Nokia 5 is the ultimate pocketable phone at 5.2 inches with a very unique design,” said Ajey Mehta, Vice President- India, HMD Global commenting on India arrival of Nokia 5.
To refresh your memory, the Nokia 5 is a compact, metal-build phone with a 5.2-inch HD display that’s powered by 1.4 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 430 chipset paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage.
The dual SIM handset has a 13MP autofocus rear camera with dual-tone LED Flash and an 8MP autofocus front-facing camera – each with f/2.0 aperture. Like all other second inning Nokia phones, this one too is running latest Stock Android software.
