Nokia unleashed three affordable phones – Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 – in India last month in June and all three were supposed to hit retail shelves this month. While the Nokia 3 is already available offline, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 have been delayed by another month, confirmed HMD global in a press statement. The Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 will now be available for purchase around Independence day on August 15.

“We are humbled by the response to Nokia 3. Currently, we are ramping up our production for Nokia 3 on priority to meet the existing consumer demand. In the coming week, we will start production of Nokia 6 and Nokia 5 to get them ready for sales start by mid-August,” the company said in a statement to NokiaPowerUser.

And you can also pre-book Nokia 5 from offline stores starting today.

Moreover, the registration is for a ‘Flash Sale’ which implies that many won’t be able to get hold of Nokia 6 even on August 15 or for many more weeks to come. If you have been waiting for Nokia 6, and many have been, you might want to reconsider.
