Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 Launched In India: Everything You Need To Know

Have been waiting for grand Nokia comeback in India? The moment has arrived!

The Finland-based HMD Global has unleashed Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 in India. All three of them will be offered via different sales channels. The Nokia 6 tops the charts as it is priced at Rs. 14,999 and it will be online exclusive at Amazon India.  The Nokia 5 which costs 12,899, and the Nokia 3 will retail for Rs. 9,499. What really set these three smartphones from the competition is stock Android Nougat and promise of fast updates.

In terms of specification, the Nokia 6, Nokia 5 and Nokia falls behind in the line when compared with their counterparts in the same category.

The Nokia 6 features a metal unibody design. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD IPS display which is layered with Corning Gorilla Glass on top.It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which can be expanded up to 256GB.

For shutterbugs, the Nokia 6 features a 16MP primary camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual tone flash. Up front, there is a wide-angle 8MP selfie camera with f/2.0 aperture. It draws juice from a 3000mAh battery with micro-USB charging port.

Nokia 6 comes with a home button embedded fingerprint scanner. It supports Dolby Atmos audio that pours out of its dual speakers.

The Nokia 5, on the other hand, is a compact and trimmed down version of the Nokia 6. It too boasts of a metal design like its bigger counterpart. It comes with a 5.2-inch HD IPS display with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on top. As per the company, it can go 500 nits bright which should ensure good sunlight legibility.

It runs on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset which is mated to 2GB RAM and 16GB expandable storage (up to 128GB). Optics-wise, the Nokia 5 comes with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, 1.12um pixel size, f/2.0 aperture and dual tone flash. Up front, there is an 8MP, 1.12um pixel size, f/2 aperture and 84 degrees field of view.

Unlike Nokia 6 and Nokia 5, the Nokia 3 budget smartphone is draped in plastic exteriors. It comes with a 5-inch 720P HD display which gets 2.5D Gorilla Glass protection shield on top. As per Nokia claims, it can achieve 450 nits brightness. The Nokia 3 is powered by 1.3Ghz MediaTek MTK 6737 quad-core chipset. It sports 2GB RAM and 16GB storage, which can be bumped up to 128GB via microSD card. It features an 8MP camera both sides of  (front and back), however, the rear camera is assisted by a LED flash.

The Nokia 3 goes on sale on June 16 at the offline stores. The Nokia 5 pre-booking starts on July 7. Online exclusive – Nokia 6 registration starts on July 14. Amazon Prime members will get Rs. 1,000 as Amazon Pay cashback if you buy during the first sale.
