vivo will launch the vivo S2 in India on August 6, 2026, at 12 PM IST. This marks the official return of the S-series to the Indian market after nearly six years, following the S1 series that last appeared around 2019-2020. Sales are expected to begin on August 11.

Official teasers and the company’s website reveal a flagship-inspired design. The phone features a curved AMOLED display with a centred punch-hole for the selfie camera and slim bezels.

The rear sports a horizontal pill-shaped camera island housing two large circular sensors and a separate circular flash. The side frame is plastic with the volume rocker and power button on the right. Colour options are expected to include Silk White, Sapphire Blue and Regal Bronze.

vivo S2 Expected Specifications

Leaked specifications point to a 6.83-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED panel with 120Hz refresh rate. The device is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo chipset paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage.

The rear camera setup centres on a 50MP primary sensor (reportedly Sony IMX852 or similar) alongside a 2MP secondary unit, while the front camera is 32MP. Both front and rear cameras are said to support 4K video recording.

A large 7,050 mAh battery with 44W fast charging is tipped, along with IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance ratings. It is expected to run Android 16-based software OriginOS 6.

Leaks suggest pricing in the ₹40,000 to ₹45,000 range, with some demo units listed lower. Exact pricing and full confirmation of specifications will come at the August 6 event.
