Realme has introduced its mid-tier performance smartphone, the GT Neo 6 SE, in its home market. Just a few days ago, we shared the exciting news about the Realme GT Neo 6 SE’s Geekbench listing. The benchmark scores were nothing short of exceptional, indicating that this device will deliver a powerhouse performance for multitasking and gaming. Despite being confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, the benchmark scores were very close to those of the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. Now that the smartphone is officially out, let’s delve into its impressive specifications and features.

Like other phones released in 2024, the GT Neo 6 SE comes with a punch-hole display on the front, along with minimal bezels on three sides (with a slightly broader chin). On the back, the smartphone has three circular protrusions, but only two houses a camera sensor. The third module has what looks like two LED flash modules. Available in two color options, Silver and Green, the smartphone carries a minimal look, but its specifications aren’t subtle at all.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE Specifications

The GT Neo 6 SE has a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED screen that supports up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness, the highest on a smartphone, including the latest flagships like the Galaxy S24 and iPhone 15 series. However, the global maximum brightness remains locked at 1,600 nits, while the manual maximum brightness is 1,000 nits. Other display features include a 3+1 Pulse low-frequency flicker DC dimming, 2,160Hz high-frequency PWM dimming, and a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection.

Under the hood, the smartphone features Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC (4nm) with Adreno 732 GPU. The processor is accompanied by up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Since the chipset’s raw power and fabrication is similar to that of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, Realme has included a 10014 mm-square heat dissipation system. With the capable processor, the handset runs Realme UI 5 based on Android 14.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE features

Regarding optics, the GT Neo 6 SE features a 50MP (f/1.8, OIS) Sony IMX882 primary sensor and an 8MP (f/2.2) Sony IMX355 ultra-wide sensor. On the front, users get a 32MP (f/2.45) Sony IMX615 selfie shooter. Powering the smartphone is a 5,500 mAh battery that supports 100W wired fast charging. The higher charging rate can juice up the phone up to 50 percent in about 12 minutes. Further, the battery is rated to retain its health for four years.

The smartphone’s connectivity options include 5G, 4G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth v5.4, GPS: L1 + L5, NFC, and a USB-C port. Other features include an in-display fingerprint scanner, IP65 water resistance, an IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor, a dust resistance rating, and stereo speakers. Surprisingly, the GT Neo 6 SE also has certain AI-powered features such as call summaries, text summarization, AI content generation, and online translation.

Realme GT Neo 6 SE Price

  • The GT Neo 6 SE base variant with 8GGB of RAM and 256GB of storage costs CNY 1,699, around INR 20,000.
  • Then there’s the variant with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage that costs CNY 1,899, around INR 22,000.
  • The top model with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage costs CNY 2,399, about Rs. 28,000.

Will The Realme GT Neo 6 SE Arrive In India?

Realme GT Neo 6 SE features (1)

The GT Neo 6 SE carries excellent specifications, including an AMOLED display, Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC, a dual-rear camera system, and a massive 5,500 mAh battery. If the Chinese smartphone brand launches the GT Neo 6 SE at or around its native pricing, the phone could take over most of the competitors in the segment.

Suppose Realme launches the handset between Rs. 20,000 and Rs. 30,000 in India. In that case, it would have to compete with models like the OnePlus Nord CE 4 5G, Samsung Galaxy M55 5G, the Nothing Phone (2a) (review), and the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G. But that wouldn’t be that big of a deal as the GT Neo 6 SE has a more powerful chipset than all of them. Further, it is on par with other features like the display, RAM/storage configuration, battery, and charging speed.

Hence, it will make sense for the company to release the GT Neo 6 SE in India. Even though the company hasn’t announced the smartphone for India, we believe it will tease it soon enough. However, this remains a conjecture at the moment, and readers shouldn’t consider this a confirmation from the company.
