Motorola Razr 50 Ultra Confirmed to Arrive in India in July: Details Inside

Motorola has announced the next generation Razr Series in China as well as Global markets. The Motorola Razr 50 Series includes two devices, the Moto Razr 50 and the Moto Razr 50 Ultra. The flip phones are successors to Razr 40 and Razr 40 Ultra which were announced in 2023. Now, a day after the global launch, the India launch date has also been confirmed. An Amazon listing has confirmed that the Moto Razr 50 Ultra is arriving in India on 4th July. Although there is no mention of the Razr 50, it will most likely join the Ultra variant on the same date. Since the global launch has already taken place, we do know about the features and expected pricing of the flip smartphones.

Moto Razr 50 Ultra: India Launch

Moto Razr 50 Ultra has been spotted on the e-commerce website Amazon which confirms the India launch date as well as its availability via Amazon. While the microsite hasn’t revealed any more details, the flip phone is confirmed to arrive with capabilities like AI Magic Canvas, AI Super Zoom, Intelligent Autofocus, and more.

Moto Razr 50 Ultra: specs (global version)

The Moto Razr 50 Ultra is powered by a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It runs Android 14-based Moto MyUX out of the box. There is a 6.9-inch P-OLED FH+ screen with a 165Hz refresh rate along with a 4-inch P-OLED cover screen with a pixel resolution of 1272×1080 pixels.

Under the hood is a 4000mAh battery with 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging capabilities. In terms of the camera, there is a 50MP main sensor and a 50MP telephoto sensor at the back. At the front is a 32MP snapper for selfies and video calls. The flip phone is IPX8 rated for being water resistant.

Moto Razr 50: Specs (global version)

The vanilla model in the Razr 50 Series is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 7300X chipset with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. Moto Razr 50 runs Android 14-based MyUX custom skin out of the box which has a clean and intuitive UI. At the front is a 6.9-inch P-OLED main screen with FHD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The cover screen is 3.6-inch large with a 90Hz refresh rate.

In terms of the camera, there is a 50MP+13MP setup at the back and a 32MP sensor at the front. Under the hood is a 4200mAh powerhouse with 30W wired and 15W wireless charging capability. Additional features include Dolby Atmos, stereo speakers, an IPX8 rating, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

Moto Razr 50 Series: Pricing Details

The Moto Razr 50 Ultra is priced at RMB 5699 (Rs. 65,500 approx.) for a 12GB RAM+256GB storage model and RMB 6199 (Rs. 72,000 approx.) for a 12GB RAM+512GB storage model in China. It comes in Vintage Denim, Modern Green, and Soft Peach Limited Edition hues to choose from.

The Moto Razr 50 costs RMB 3699 (Rs. 42,500 approx.) for 8GB RAM+256GB storage version and RMB 3999 (Rs. 46,000) for 12GB RAM+512GB storage version in China. It comes in Moon Velvet Black, Elephant Gray, and Passion Orange shades to flaunt your style.

The flip smartphones are expected to cost along similar lines in India.

Motorola has also announced Moto Tag which is a Bluetooth Low Energy tracker with Ultra Wideband to track your belongings using Google’s Find My Device Network. It costs 29.99 USD per tag in the US. India’s availability is still unconfirmed.
