The Moto E5 and E5 Plus were first announced back in April in Brazil alongside Moto E5, Moto E5 Play, and Moto G6-series.

Moto E5 Plus, Moto E5 Features

The Moto E5 Plus flaunts what appears to be metal and glass design but instead it is made of plastic and polymer. The front is dominated by a 6-inch HD+ (720×1440 pixels) IPS LCD display that comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

The Moto E5 rocks a Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 mobile processor which is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone also supports expandable via microSD card (up to 128GB).

Optics wise, the Moto E5 Plus flaunts a 12-megapixel sensor at the rear end with f/2.0 aperture, laser autofocus, PDAF, and an LED flash. On the flip side, there is an 8-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture and a selfie light.

The Moto E5, on the other hand, houses a 5.7-inch display that has same HD+ resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio as the E5 Plus. Lenovo is obviously cutting a few corners here. The Moto E5 gets a quad-core Snapdragon 425 chipset clocked at 1.4GHz and coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB storage.

The Moto E5 also packs a smaller 4000mAh battery but it too gets a turbocharger bundled within the box.

As for the optics, the Moto E5 has a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash. On the front, it too features a 5-megapixel selfie camera.

As for connectivity, the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus both have similar capabilities. Both phones support 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with hotspot, Bluetooth 4.2 LE, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, FM radio, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB.
