LG G7 ThinQ and G7+ ThinQ With Snapdragon 845 and AI Camera Launched: Price and Specifications

LG’s most-awaited smartphone, the G7 ThinQ was officially unveiled at an event in New York. The flagship phone comes with two RAM and storage variants and the one with better configuration is dubbed as the LG G7+ ThinQ. Moreover, both the variants have the cameras backed by AI, just like the LG V30 ThinQ.

Highlights of LG G7 ThinQ, G7+ ThinQ:

  • The 6-inch QHD+ display is IPS LCD type. No AMOLED this time.
  • Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and Wireless charging
  • MIL-STD 810G compliance with IP68 certification
  • Boombox speaker and Hi-Fi Quad DAC
  • A Physical Button to trigger Google Assistant

LG G7 ThinQ, G7+ ThinQ Price and Availability

LG hasn’t disclosed the price of G7 ThinQ and G7 ThinQ+ yet. Most probably, it will be announced closer to local availability. The phone will go on sale first in South Korean markets, followed by other major markets in Asia, America, Europe, and Latin America.

Both LG G7 ThinQ and G7+ ThinQ will be available in New Platinum Grey, New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue, and Raspberry Rose color variants.

LG G7 ThinQ, G7+ ThinQ Features

The only notable difference between the LG G7 ThinQ and G7+ ThinQ is their RAM and storage. The normal G7 ThinQ is equipped with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB storage whereas the Plus variant sports 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB internal storage. Other than that, everything is same on both the phones.

The LG G7 ThinQ series boasts of a notched 6.1-inch QHD+ (1440×3120 pixels) Super Bright LCD display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio and brightness of up to 1,000 nits. Under the hood, they are by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core processor.

For photography, the LG G7 ThinQ sports dual 16MP rear camera setup with Super Wide Angle sensor that has f/1.9 aperture and a 107-degree wide-angle lens, and secondary sensor comes with f/1.6 aperture and a 71-degree lens. On the front for selfies, the handset gets an 8-megapixel wide-angle sensor with f/1.9 aperture and 80-degree lens.

Other specifications of the phone include Android Oreo, up to 256GB dedicated microSD card slot, 3000mAh battery, and rear-mounted fingerprint sensor as well as face unlock.

In terms of connectivity, the LG G7 ThinQ and G7+ ThinQ include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0 BLE, USB Type-C 2.0 (3.1 compatible), NFC, FM Radio, and GPS.
