Just wow!
<<<<<<<<<<<< IMPORTANT NOTE>>>>>>>>>>> There has been reports that Europeans are sending Carrier unlocked phones as new International versions in India. These are under contract phone, bought for much less and sold as new in India, with manual repackaging, authentic to new. I got the same version of the phone twice and immediately filed return to both. The problem with these phone is that YOU WON'T GET ANY IMPORTANT SECURITY UPDATE!!!!!. It will run software only that came with factory installed. That means you won't be getting Pie update too. Even sellers are unaware of this issue because they just import the international version. Please like this, so this review doesn't get removed. Best way to know is to check for update in settings. 99% chance is that there will be an update available because LG regularly release monthly software updates. BE VERY CAREFULL AND DON'T IGNORE THIS ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!! Excellent product. I was a little bit confused between LG and OnePlus 6T, but later checking the specs and features of LG, OnePlus was thrown out of the water. Let me explain: 1. Excellent display, didn't even feel like I was using an non AMOLED display. Very natural looking and does not pinch in the eyes. HDR and Dolby Vision supported. 2. Camera is way better than OnePlus. Images are natural looking and have proper details with exact lighting and exposure. Of course, you can't compare it with iPhone X which is twice the price but not twice better. One more thing, if you have knowledge about image attributes, you can click better images with it's in-built Manual mode rather than using automatic mode. That will give DSLR level pics. Also wide angle lens is very good and much more useful than it appear. But there is one dowside, the camera is very shaky and images blur, I don't why, maybe due to poor stabilization. But it said to be fixed in next coming update. 3. Battery packup is great if you are medium user who mostly uses YouTube, Instagram, messaging etc. But games like PUBG drains the battery a little fast but that's the issue on every phone in the market, even on my brother's iPhone XS. Battery on iPhone X is around 2700 mAh, while on G7 it is 3000 mAH, which is a win spec wise. But you can turn the battery saving mode which is very effective and extends battery about 2 hours more, from my personal experience. 4. Fast charging is really fast. In just one and a half hour it is full. But on Android, fast charging does not works during gaming, to save the battery. So keep that in mind. 5. LG UI is not so bad that people are complaining about. I rather find it very interesting. Just the Home screen is customized to give a look like iOS. Internally it is pure stock Android. Moreover, over simplistic look of stock Android makes it boring after a while, but this one has a lot of customization. A lot of options are there for your convenience which are very useful in day to day usage. You can also throw in NOVA launcher if you still want pure stock android experience. 6. Quad DAC is a cherry on the top and you don't need a high end headphones to experience it. Also high impedance headphones drains the battery a lot faster, due to being power hungry by nature. But even normal earphones works great. It's a treat for music lovers. 7. IP68 Dust and water proof. Military standard built. No explanation needed. 8. At last, Android Pie is confirmed to release soon. 9. Better after sales service than any other Chinese brand. OnePlus is reported to send Indians private data to Chinese Government. So keep that on mind. I'm not against OnePlus but it is not a true flagship killer like LG. And G7 deserves way more recognition. It is just a clever marketing of OnePlus like Vivo and Oppo. Also there's no headphone jack on new OnePlus. Don't waste your money on these Chinese brands. Always invest on good companies like LG, SONY, SAMSUNG, APPLE, etc which offer far better after sales service. Investment on these companies really pays off in long term. Overall I'm very attached to this phone and will probably use for 3-4 years at least.
