Mobile World Congress is a time for unveiling upcoming innovations in tech and true to the trend, leading laptop maker Lenovo has demoed the World’s first Transparent display laptop during the event. Lenovo ThinkBook Transparent display has been shown off and as the name suggests, the laptop has a 17.3-inch bezel-less see-through panel that uses a micro LED screen with 720 pixel resolution.
The laptop has a transparent keyboard area as well, thus flaunting a floating footpad design. The keyboard is transparent, laser projecting keys when required. The keyboard can double up as a sketchpad with stylus support. The only drawback will be the lack of tactile feedback from this keyboard so it will feel like you are typing on a flat surface.
The use of micro LED technology offers high color saturation and good contrast along with 1000 nits brightness that gives apt visibility indoors as well as outdoors.
The scope of the technology is vast as it would further leap to optimization of image quality, durability, and adjustable transmittance to give more privacy and transparency to interact in real time. This will be done via the camera at the chassis as the camera will use Artificial intelligence to recognize the image and then a digital version of the same will be shown on the laptop.
In terms of software, it will be as modern as most laptops these days as it will run Windows 11 OS. Nothing else has been revealed about the hardware of the laptop.
