How Did Samsung Achieve That?
The most interesting number is that the panel can hit up to 1,600 nits of local peak brightness. If that claim holds under independent testing, it will make these the brightest laptop OLED panels to enter mass production to date.
The technology behind the leap is a tandem OLED construction, stacking two light-emitting layers rather than the single layer used in traditional OLED panels (like those in smartphones).
