Kia India has officially pulled the curtain back on the Syros EV, revealing the full variant lineup, battery specifications, and feature breakdown for what I believe could be the brand’s most competitive EV in the country yet. Prices are yet to be announced but are widely expected to start around ₹15 lakh (or lower for the entry-level variants), putting it squarely in the crosshairs of the Tata Nexon EV and Mahindra XUV 3XO EV.
Update (July 23, 2026): This article has been updated with the prices of the Kia Syros EV variants, starting from the entry-level HTK variant, all the way up to the long-range X-Line ER variant.

- Entry-Level Trim HTK (42 kWh): Priced at ₹13.49 Lakh, the base HTK variant lowers the barrier to entry for Kia’s mass-market EV range. It is powered by a 42 kWh battery pack; it delivers an ARAI-certified range of 443 km. However, expect a range of around 230 to 250 kilometers in the real world.
- Entry-Level Long Range Variant HTK+ ER (51.4 kWh): For buyers prioritizing maximum range over high-end features, the HTK+ ER comes in at ₹16.99 Lakh. Positioned ₹3.50 lakh above the base trim, this is the most accessible variant with the larger 51.4 kWh Extended Range battery, with a claimed range of up to 526 km. Given the exceptional claimed range, this variant should provide around 400 kilometers of real-world range.
- Top-Spec Trim X-Line ER (51.4 kWh): Positioned at the pinnacle of the lineup at ₹19.99 Lakh, the X-Line ER brings flagship styling and technology. Beyond the 51.4 kWh long-range battery, it features exclusive cosmetic touches such as a Matte Graphite exterior paint finish, Level 2 ADAS with 16 autonomous features, a 30-inch Trinity display layout, ventilated seating, and a premium 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system.
Kia Syros EV: BaaS Ownership Scheme
By decoupling the battery pack cost from the vehicle chassis, the entry price of the Kia Syros EV drops significantly down to ₹7.99 Lakh (compared to the standard starting ex-showroom price of ₹13.49 Lakh). Owners pay a usage-based battery rental fee fixed at ₹3.3 per kilometer driven.
To further reinforce confidence in long-term EV ownership, Kia pairs the BaaS option with an industry-first 15-year unlimited-kilometer warranty on the high-voltage battery for the first owner, alongside an assured buyback program offering up to 80% resale value retention after 3 years.

Kia Syros EV: Battery Pack & Power
The Syros EV arrives in seven variants: HTK, HTK+, HTX, HTK+ ER, HTX ER, HTX+ ER, and X-Line. The variants are spread across two battery options. Built on the K1 platform shared with the ICE-powered Syros, it borrows its battery packs from the larger Carens Clavis EV and the Creta EV.

The 51.4 kWh variant’s 526 km range and 171 PS output are both segment-best figures, noteworthy for a sub-compact SUV in this price bracket. Further, since the Syros EV could be lighter than the Creta EV, it could actually squeeze out more real-world range from the same battery pack.

Kia Syros EV: Variant-Wise Features
Even the base HTK variant is generously specced, offering dual 12.3-inch screens, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and Star Map LED DRLs. Furthermore, the EV will also offer Ice Cube LED headlamps, paddle shifters for regenerative braking, and a shift-by-wire gear selector.
Like the Syros ICE, the Syros EV should also offer 25 standard safety features, including six airbags and electronic stability control.

The top-spec X-Line could be the only variant to get ADAS Level 2 with 16 autonomous features, Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, puddle lamps, digital key, and 64-color ambient lighting.
