TL; DR
  • An official Samsung promo image for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 has leaked via Evan Blass.
  • Key confirmed specs include an 800mAh battery, a 12% thinner design, and IP69K protection.
  • Peak display brightness rises to 5,000 nits; full reveal is set for July 22 Unpacked.

Samsung is two days away from Galaxy Unpacked in London, but the rumor mill doesn’t care about it. We’ve been seeing renders of the Fold 8, Fold 8 Ultra, and Flip 8 for quite some time, along with a list of specifications. Now, renowned tipster Evan Blass has shared what appear to be official promotional materials for the Galaxy Watch Ultra 2.

What The Leaked Promo Images Show

Ice Universe also shared those pictures on his X account, adding a few claims about their specifications. For instance, the battery capacity of the Watch Ultra 2 could increase to 800mAh (up from 590mAh). That is a significant jump, given that the watch is rumored to be getting 12% thinner. Samsung appears to have done so by more efficient cell packaging.

Display peak brightness rises to 5,000 nits, matching modern flagship smartphones’ peak output, which is unusually high for a smartwatch. In fact, if I recall correctly, the Galaxy S26 Ultra only achieves a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. Of course, the screen on a smartphone is much bigger than that on a smartwatch.

Water and dust protection could be rated to IP69K, adding high-pressure jet-water resistance to the existing IP68 submersion rating.

What This Means Before Unpacked

The original Galaxy Watch Ultra launched in India at ₹74,999 and was positioned as Samsung’s most capable wearable for outdoor and athletic use. Together, the thinner profile and the battery increase address the two most common criticisms of the original.
